Spinlord Dornenglanz X

Dornenglanz X: A very slow, soft, and long pimple with the pimple geometry of Dornenglanz and an extremely robust rubber compound.

The characteristics:

The pimple geometry (height and width of the pimples as well as the distance between them) is exactly the same as that of Dornenglanz. However, the pimple tops are ribbed.

The rubber compound, on the other hand, has been completely redesigned. Its main feature is its robustness. Despite the very thin pimples, the “Dornenglanz X” is our most robust long pimple. Pimple breakage is virtually impossible when used as intended.

The rubber compound is also soft, elastic, and speed-reducing, making the “Dornenglanz X” one of our slowest long pimples (the speed is slightly lower than that of the “Dornenglanz III”).

The 'Dornenglanz X' is the perfect long pimple rubber for disruptive play at the table.

If you are looking for a long pimple rubber with soft, quick-bending pimples that allow you to easily and aggressively attack enemy strokes, this is the right choice for you.

Unlike the “Dornenglanz,” the “Dornenglanz X” does not have a particularly high disruptive effect in passive play. So you can't just hold out your bat and score a lot of points.

With the “Dornenglanz X,” you can either keep the ball in play very safely or go on the offensive yourself to put pressure on your opponent and bring your own stronger side into play.

If you find yourself under pressure, chop blocks with the Dornenglanz X are much more effective than passive blocking. However, these are also possible if necessary and at least have a short, flat ball trajectory.

Undercut defense is also possible with the Dornenglanz X on occasion, but not as an essential element of your own playing system.

Conclusion: The “Dornenglanz X” is not a rubber for classic defenders, but for offensive players who mainly use their backhand to bring their strong forehand side into play.
