Tibhar MX-P

This version confers the highest dynamic and thus makes MX-P the fastest rubber of the EVOLUTION rubber family.
Thanks to the perfect adjustment of the pimple geometry we managed to produce a rubber with more flexibility conferring to attacking balls extra energy. Thanks to this specificity, MX-P is very well adapted to any player’s game, making no concession in terms of speed and spin.
The ball/bat contact time of the MX-P is longer than the reference time, thus conferring much more sensation. EVOLUTION MX-P: chosen by topspin players willing to feel the necessary pressure of their strokes at the table and at half distance.

Staff Note: Commonly regarded as the closest Tenergy 05 rival, matching (or surpassing) it's performance is almost every aspect through the latest technology from Germany.

I have tried many different rubbers over the years however when leading into the major competitions I have always reverted back to the Tenergy range of rubbers when push comes to shove.  Having said that, I recently tried out the Tibhar MX-P maximum with my Timo Boll ALC blade and found that this rubber was the most similar in playing properties as the Tenergy 80.

I found MX-P to be a great rubber - it generated good pace and control off the block and was fantastic when looping back from the table as well as off the bounce.

I found the rubber easy to generate high levels of spin off the service whilst still providing good control on the return of service.  The rubber also had a nice 'throw' i.e. Low trajectory and combined with good power and drive on the shots allowed deep penetration on the table.  As with all 'harder' rubbers that have a low 'trajectory' it is important to ensure you get down low and power up and though the ball off of a heavy backspin to lift the ball.

From a defensive perspective MX-P is great for blocking and counter punching - it has good control attributes and enables good power generation from little effort.

In summary, MX-P is a very good rubber with similar attributes to Tenergy 80 however at a lower cost.  I would not hesitate in recommending this rubber as an alternative to Tenergy 80.  Mar 2017
