The lively Rosskopf allround blade, with outstanding control and feel, combined with high spin & high control Novic rubbers, makes an ideal beginner to developing level players bat, who aim to become allround or offensive type players. The high control of the Novic rubbers still allows for a defensive style play, while offering good power & spin for offensive attack. Great value for a high quality combination.
For an attacking style game, the Viva offers excellent speed and control and the special construction combined with the high spin Mambo H rubbers is optimised for extreme spin on loops, while still offering high speed and decent control. The Mambo H rubbers offer more control compared to the modern 'speed-glue effect' rubbers like Maxxx and Rhyzm, while still offering high spin and enough power to put the ball away.
For a fast attacking style game, the Viva offers excellent speed and control, and the special construction combined with the high spin Rhyzm rubbers is optimised for extreme spin on loops, while still offering high speed and decent control. These somewhat softer rubbers are a little more forgiving, making it easier to land your loops with precision, and still offering plenty of power to put the ball away.
The Rosskopf Emotion blades rivals the performance of the popular Butterfly blades like the Timo Boll Spirit / ALC / Viscaria, at a much more affordable price without sacrifising quality. Combine this blade with the high spin & high speed rubbers of the Joola Maxxx series, that rivals the popular Butterfly Tenergy in performance, and you'll have a combination suitable right up to the elite levels of table tennis. Choose the softer Maxxx 450 for a little more control & spin, or the Maxxx 500 for high spin and maximum power.
4b. Especially for Plastic balls:
Similar to the combination above, the Rosskopf Emotion blades rivals the performance of the popular Butterfly blades like the Timo Boll Spirit / ALC / Viscaria, at a much more affordable price without sacrifising quality. Combine this blade with the high spin & high speed rubbers of the Joola Maxxx or Rhyzm series, that rivals the popular Butterfly Tenergy in performance, and you'll have a combination suitable right up to the elite levels of table tennis. These new "-P" rubber have a little more surface grip to try and compensate for the reduce grip of the new plastic balls.
Designed by Joola and Chen Weixing himself, the Chen Weixing blade offers great power and spin when combined with the Maxxx 450 rubber, while offering outstanding chopping ability with the Joola Octopus long pimple rubber. Chop back loops with extreme backspin, making it hard for your opponent to even lift the ball over the net. Any weak ball can be punished even from mid-long distance with the powerful forehand. A very high quality combination for higher level modern defenders at an excellent price point.
The Chen Defender is a large and relatively heavy oversize blade, a type which is highly favoured among defenders. Combine this blade with any type of defensive rubber with a thinner spin, and you'll get extremely high control to keep the ball coming back onto the table, with high backspin if required. Even long pimple rubbers or antispin rubber are very well suited to this blade, and would combine well with a fast & spinny rubber on the other side (like the Maxxx series) offering very high contrast between forehand & backhand, to keep your opponent guessing.
The famous and light weight White Spot blade is well known for being able to absorb the power from fast loops, offering deceptive spin reversal from the Joola Badman, while taking the spin and pace off from the Tango ultra. The Badman in OX (no sponge) is highly insensitive to spin, and returns spin back to the opponent, causing confusion and often mistakes or high balls. Any high balls can be punished with the powerful hitting short pimple Tango Ultra. This short pimple can also generate good spin when brushing lightly, like on serves.
The famous and light weight White Spot blade is well known for being able to absorb the power from fast loops. The Amy rubbers are virtually unaffected by incoming spin, even returning some of the spin to your opponent, while taking the pace off the ball. Balls can be attacked with these rubber, but very little spin is generated, which adds to deception. The Toni Hold Anti Top Spin has a little more grip and can generate a little spin, while still very insensitive to incoming spin, but the little grip makes attacking balls easier, while still generate deceptive amounts of spin. The Express Ultra is a very fast short pimple, making it easy to hit any high ball with great power, while still being able to add some spin when required. This combination works great against players that use a lot of spin in their game, as the spin has little effect on you, while creating very awkward balls for your opponents, and any weak shots can easily be punished.
